Real ecommerce work. Real commercial results.
The Next Stage has been built from work inside real ecommerce businesses. The results shown here are examples of past performance, not promises of what every business will achieve. Different businesses start in different places and face different commercial constraints.
25 years of marketing and commercial work.
The ecommerce results on this page are only part of my experience.
Across roughly 25 years in marketing, I've worked across different businesses and commercial environments, and the marketing and commercial work I've been involved in has generated more than £256 million in revenue for organisations.
I keep that figure separate from the ecommerce case studies below because they are different types of proof.
The £256M+ reflects the breadth of my career.
The case studies below show a couple of recent ecommerce projects in more detail.
£20K → £80K a month in three months

When Rob became involved, the business was generating approximately £20,000 per month.
Within three months, monthly revenue had grown to approximately £80,000.
The business has continued to grow and is now generating approximately £125,000+ per month.
Over roughly two years, monthly advertising spend has increased from around £1,500 to around £20,000 as the wider commercial operation has developed.
This was not the result of one clever tactic. It came from working across the business - acquisition, conversion, merchandising, email and the commercial decisions that connect them.
Note: Retailer identity is kept confidential. Results reflect specific market conditions and operational execution, not earnings guarantees.
Zero → approximately £40K a month average

Rob has also worked on an ecommerce operation that grew from zero and went on to average approximately £40,000 per month in revenue over a two-year period.
Again, the important point is not that there was one tactic responsible for the result.
Growing an ecommerce business usually means making a series of better commercial decisions across acquisition, conversion, offer, retention and the wider customer journey.
